The primary design intention for this 4-bedroom residence is the use of the two big olive trees on the East facade of the site, in order to define a secluded garden as a direct extension of the living spaces. To achieve this, the layout of the ground floor is defined by two parallel walls which span the site from East to West and align themselves with the two trees. These walls act as the anchor of the building form on the ground and are finished with coarse grained render in natural color. Teir role is to define the garden space as a continuation of the living and dining room, providing the necessary privacy and shade. On top of this solid base the lightweight volume of the first floor is juxtaposed. This level includes the bedrooms, all of which are oriented East, featuring uninterrupted views of the mountain and ample morning daylight.
